Halo Wars: Halo meets RTS

The team behind Age of Empires has released gameplay footage of the next game in the hugely popular Halo series. The game will feature the same vehicles and models as previous Halo games as well as some new additions - including the Wolverine UNSC vehicle. Players will experience Halo on a whole new level of strategic warfare, and will test their tactical abilities against the Covenant armies.

The game will include elements present in the Age of Empires series and is highly tipped to become the greatest RTS to be released on consoles.

Fallout 3: Trailer

Bethesda Game Studios revealed the new trailer for the highly anticipated Fallout 3 - showing a new level of breathtaking realism, stunning visuals and more of the sickening blood and gore Fallout fans love.


The game is set for release on October 7th for US and EU - and is set in the year 2277 - 36 years after the second game in the series. It will feature a barren, desolate landscape where you as a member of Vault 101 (the fallout shelter in Washington D.C) will use everything in your power to bring down the Enclave - a vicious U.S Government group - and anything else that stands in your way in solving the mystery behind your fathers disappearance.

Gears of War 2: 'Linked' Achievements

It has been announced at the San Diego Comicon by GoW2 developers Epic Games that players who have unlocked certain achievements in the previous GoW will have the added bonus of unlocking characters in the follow up version. They released the information of three characters that would be unlocked from various achievements:

Completed Act I - Unlock Anthony Carmine
Complete the game and kill Raam - Unlock Raam
Locate 10 C.O.G tags - Unlock MInh Young Kim

From my own experience: these three achievements I have unlocked and it wasn't too difficult either. Lets sit tight and hope they don't offer a sweet character for one of the games toughest achievements which would involve killing 10,000 players total in ranked matches. Nah, they wouldn't be so cruel to the less hardcore players who only play a few casual matches at a time... would they? :(

Gears of War 2: What you need to know.

Set for release on November 7th 2008 - Gears of War 2 is probably one of the most anticipated game sequels on the Xbox 360. The original Gears of War featured one of the most heavily emphasized systems in a first person shooter of using cover whenever possible and its sequel is expected to be no different. It is also loved by many gamers for it's intense graphics and storyline - and I haven't even mentioned multiplayer yet. You can expect the single player storyline to be more graphic in terms of blood and gore. You will have a variety of ways to finish off an enemy locust when they are injured: you may 'use the sniper rifle as a sledgehammer' or even more brutally 'use the torque bow like an axe' to decapitate disorientated enemies.

Players when embarking on co-op story mode will be able to choose a different difficulty to their buddy if they want a tougher or easier fight. In Gears of War 2 getting achievements will be made slightly easier than its prequel due to the majority of achievements being available in multiplayer and the storymode. There will also be an increase in the number of vehicle associated missions in the campaign and there is believed to be a number of achievements associated with these also.

So what about multiplayer? The Gears of War 2 multiplayer is said to feature 3 game modes:

'Guardian': Similar to Assassination in the previous GoW - players will be able to keep fighting after their leader is killed - but will no longer be able to respawn.

'Wingman': This has been likened to multi team in Halo 3 - wherein 10 players are split into 5 teams of 2.

'Submission': A version of CTF where human players face tough AI bots and must kill a certain target and pull his body to the flag while defending against some pissed off bot teammates.

Gears of War 2 will feature the Unreal 3 game engine - which will hugely improve the visuals and effects in the game for a more cinematic experience on and off-line.

Overall we can expect a more badass storyline, more badass enemies, some badass graphics - but above all some badass guns.

Bring on November 7th.

GTA 4: The Pidgeon Hunt!

Many GTA 4 players have difficulties hunting down the 200 pigeons that will: 1) Provide a nice 50G achievement ('Endangered Species') for your hassle and 2) Contribute towards 100% completion - and the lovely 100G 'Key to the City' achievement. So here's a helping hand in putting an end to pigeon menace all over Liberty City.

First, you'll need a small arsenal of weapons to take out all 200 pigeons - this will include an RPG and grenades - you may want to stock up on body armour as well because you will find too often after killing a pigeon a nearby cop will send the whole police department after you.

Secondly, find a fast and agile car - it doesn't need to be something rare like an infernus - a simple Blista Compact does the job. You'll need this because about 70% of the time you take out a pigeon.. a cop just happens to be strolling by - so make sure you park your car nearby for a quick getaway. A good way of deposing of the cops and reaching your next pigeon is to set a waypoint on the map roughly where your next pigeon is.. this will kill two birds with one stone (har har) because you will rid yourself of the cops from driving a good distance and obviously you"ll be in range of killing your next pigeon.

For finding these pigeons I could find no better guide than 007croft's on Youtube. He will show you exactly where to find the pigeons and if they are not visible you will be shown from what angle to chuck a grenade or fire an RPG. You will also need to use this map.

Use the map in sync with the videos and you will have no trouble finding the pigeons.
